FAQ

1) If students are taking too long to answer a question, the test times out and they have to resign in.
– The timeout duration is 60 minutes. The system should not log out students unless they do not make any moves for 60 minutes.
2) If a student is absent or will not finish the test today before 4:00 pm (set time).  What happens?
– Proctors should open 45 minute time interval for assessments. If a student is absent, do not make the test available for the student. So, the student cannot access the test. When you offer a make up, just make the test available for the student. When the student completes the test, his name turns to green on the proctor page. If a student leave the test without submitting, proctor can submit the test for the student and the student’s name turns to green, too. Green means tests is complete and ready to be graded.
3) Why can’t I assign proctors?
– You can assign proctors now.
4) Are the students allowed to use calculators/scratch paper on the tests?
-Yes, we will add the calculator option on the page. Until then, you can provide calculators and scratch papers for students.
5) Will the students still be able to access other internet windows while taking the test or will the database open in a lockdown type browser?
– We do not have a lockdown browser. Proctors should monitor student activities during testing.
6) Will there ever be a way to select class rosters instead of individually selecting students by grade level?
– The database does not allow us to choose the class roster. However, the IT team is working on that.
7)If we have 8th graders taking Algebra I, should they take the Algebra I EOC test?
– Algebra I is a high school course. Therefore, any student taking Algebra I should take EOC.
